Whether you are the business owner, department manager or a team leader, we all need to plan to achieve business growth. The truth is... the majority of individuals don't have a plan that is written down, it is only in their head. Furthermore, the performance required to achieve the plan isn't documented as an objective. Therefore, it isn't measured or even reviewed. If you are responsible for, or need to create a 1 year business growth plan and professional development plan... it is important to break it into 4 x quarters of manageable periods of time. If you are not on schedule after 90 days (3 months). It will be no surprise that your 365 day plan will take longer to achieve. This will affect the desired outcome and could cost you financial, professionally or personally?

As we look at our time management, it only makes sense to start with the end in mind. Why is that important? Simply put - if you do not have a clear vision or goals in life or in business - then time management really becomes pointless.
Developing the right mindset and proper attitude sets the stage for creating effective time management habits and disciplines. Many of us feel chaos in our lives because we have not established the fundamental disciplines of time management. Some feel they are "cursed" with poor time management habits and have decided it's a hopeless quest to change them. You have to first believe your situation can change and that you have the power to overcome your ingrained habits. Once you have a firm desire and make the conscious decision to get control of your time, you will then be open and prepared to learn and embrace the key disciplines and tools of effective time management. Time management, like any learned habit, typically will take at least three weeks to develop and then many months and years to refine until you master the discipline.
Much has been written and said about time management, but here is a simple and effective process for getting things done on time and in full:
They act as the "guiding lights" to keep you on track, using your time in the most efficient manner possible.

Hundreds of millions of telephone calls are made each and every day around the world and many of those calls are made by customers. It is clear that the way these telephone calls are handled can make a huge difference to a company's relationship with it's customers.
Using the telephone competently and courteously is essential to customer and client satisfaction. Poor telephone etiquette can have a disastrous effect on your telephone customer service - and bottom line.
Face to face meetings can have the same effect if you are poorly prepared, make a bad first impression or don't honour your personal commitments and or, meeting action points
Both the above will test the business relationship of both parties... don't be the reason that your customers decides to terminate your business relationship.
Preparation. Have a fair idea of what you are going to say in advance of your telephone call or meeting,
Have a mental script you can fall back on if the conversation wonders,
Introduction... how do we introduce ourselves with a handshake or verbally,
Build rapport... be yourself and keep it friendly,
Speak Clearly... making yourself understood is a key principle of effective customer service,
Tone of Voice... friendly but authoritative manner works well, develop your own personality and vary your vocal pitch to avoid sending the caller to sleep,
Keep it positive,
Listen... listening to your customer is more important than speaking,
Closing the meeting, make sure you give assurance that any promises you have made will be fulfilled.
And here's my special bonus tip..
The Golden Rule. Always treat your customers exactly how you want to be treated yourself!
By following these telephone customer service tips not only will you communicate effectively with your customers - you will positively impact your company's bottom line.

There is no right or wrong way to influence others. Everything, but everything, is a factor when influencing people. We are, all of us, influenced by people, places, events and situations at all times. Sometimes we are affected more or less by these things, but we are continually being influenced by what happens around us. It is about adapting and modifying your personal style when you become aware of the affect you are having on other people, while still being true to yourself. Behaviour and attitude change are what's important, not changing who you are or how you feel and think.
You may try to exert your influence through coercion and manipulation. You might even succeed in getting things done; but that isn't really influencing. That's forcing people to do what you want, often against their will. You won't have succeeded in winning support. Pushing and bullying DO NOT WORK! Just like elephants, people will remember the experience and never forget it!
Influencing is about understanding yourself and the effect or impact you have on others. Though it can, on occasion, be one way, the primary relationship is two way, and it is about changing how others perceive you.
In other words, perception is reality, makes perfect sense in the context of influencing. It doesn't matter what's going on internally for you - if it isn't perceived by the other person, then it doesn't exist, other than in your mind.
You could be doing the most brilliant presentation you've ever created, but if you haven't brought your 'audience' with you, the brilliance is wasted. And that's about being able to see what's going on for them, which will be different, however much you may have in common. Influencing can sometimes be looked at as the ability to 'finesse', almost sleight of hand. The other person isn't prodded into seeing your view of the world, but is persuaded, often unconsciously, into understanding it.
This workshop goes far beyond basic influencing skills and focuses on some of the more advanced techniques available. This material really works... it will provide you with a clear understanding of how you are viewed by others. This will help you to adapt your communication style to engage with anyone, at any level.
Targeted Areas:

Sometimes you can get so used to your own personal style or way of being or pattern of communicating, that you don't think of how it is being received, and you don't think of behaving in any other way. Effective communication is about being able to move things forward, without pushing, forcing or telling others what to do. Now what we know is that one of the most powerful forces that affect people's behaviour is the avoidance of humiliation.
No one wants to embarrass themselves if they can help it! So changing your behaviour entails a certain risk. But if that behaviour change is deliberate, and you have made an effort to see the world from the other person's point of view, then humiliation can be avoided on both sides.
Whatever the arena you work in influencing others is about having the confidence and willingness to use yourself to make things happen. Influencing people is also the ability to 'work' a dynamic, whether it's a large group, one to one or over the phone. By 'working' the dynamic, we mean using everything at your disposal, both verbal and non-verbal communication, to create the impact you want, rather than letting things just happen.
This workshop goes far beyond basic communication skills and focuses on some of the more advanced communication techniques available. This material really works... it will provide you with a number of high-level skills, to help you communicate effectively with anyone, at any level.

Being assertive means being confident enough to clearly and effectively express your feelings and opinions; while still valuing the opinions of others. It’s important because it impacts directly on the way that you communicate and interact with other people and helps build your self-esteem.
If you lack assertiveness, it can affect your relationships both personally and professionally. If you act passively or aggressively in situations, over time, it can lead to stress, anxiety or even depression as well as having a negative impact on your physical health too.
Each assertiveness workshop is classroom based with a mix of hands on practical and common sense theory to achieve effective learning. This is achieved buy sharing information and conducting role play experiences to fully appreciate... what needs to be done and how to do it effectively!
This workshop identifies the behaviour and communication required to implement and maintain an assertive management style. This material really works... it will provide you with the confidence to address relationship issues and to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
